A Green Hotel
The Nordic Oceanfront Inn in Lincoln City, Oregon is a 100% eco-friendly hotel. We are a proud member of the Green Hotel Association and the Earth Planet Project. We work hard to do our partWe want your stay at our hotel to be as comfortable as possible. We take great pride in providing a green, environmentally responsible approach to how we maintain our grounds, and facilitate conservation throughout all our suites. To conserve water, we have installed 1.6 GPF toilets and low-flow shower heads in all of our rooms. To conserve energy, we keep hot water to a comfortable, yet regulated 125-130 Degrees Fahrenheit. Our in-room refrigerators are left off when not in use by our patrons, and we have installed energy-conserving fluorescent lighting throughout the building. Sheet changes are performed every 3 days or upon request, laundry is picked up only when it is on the guest room floor, and our laundry bags are made from retired sheets. All our laundry detergent is non-toxic, phosphate free, biodegradable and packaged in recycled material. Our rooms feature kitchen floors made from recycled wood, and water glasses are kept on hand to avoid the use of plastics. All our paper products are recycled. |
